AIU Health Science Centers at the Gambia, College of Nursing offers Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for Registered Nurse (RN). The program equips the student with knowledge, skills, values and prepares the student for a professional practice in a variety of settings. BSN graduates are prepared as general clinical practitioners. BSN coursework emphasizes critical thinking, health and human functioning, care and therapeutics, person/environment fit and health care resources. The BSN program is highly competitive, and demands rigorous academics combined with experiential learning. Certain credit hours are allocated for their RN education and experience. A minimum of 100 hours is required to complete the BSN degree.
The Nursing Programs are accreditted by the Nursing & Midwifery Council of The Gambia. The BSN degrees are validated by Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) USA
